Pearson's test for correlation is used to establish whether there is a relationship between two characteristics, based on samples from individuals.

Unlike Pearson's correlation test, it is non-parametric and does not require the data to be continuous, and can measure non-linear relationships.

After selecting Spearman rank from the menu, simply enter the sample values for each individual. Biostats Calculator will determine the strength and direction of the relationship between the variables and perform a hypothesis test to determine whether this relationship is significant.
